Event Details


The Birkenhead Park Five Mile Road Race began in 1972 and has been run every year since, with a virtual event during lockdown in 2020.

The 2024 race is on Wednesday July 24th starting at 7.00pm outside St Mary's Cricket Club in the Lower Park (near the visitor centre), In 2024 your race fee will include:  

  • Chip timing on an accurate course
  • Medals to all finishers 
  • £100 prize for course record for both male & female runners
  • Cash prize for 1st, 2nd & 3rd male and 1st, 2nd & 3rd female finishers  (£30, £20, £10)
  • Free professional photos
  • A kid's 1 mile race with medals (6pm)

Registration will be at the visitors centre at finish area (Open at 17:15)
