The Birkenhead Park Five Mile Road Race began in 1972 and has been run every year since.
The 2017 race is on Wednesday June 7th starting at 7.30pm outside the Visitors Centre in the Lower Park, and has chip timing for the first time.
Regulars should note that this 15 minutes earlier than recent years.
It will be preceded by a Family Fun Run at 7pm.
